Theresa is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a PA Certified School Counselor with nearly 15 years of experience counseling individuals of all ages. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Chatham University.
Theresa specializes in the treatment of Substance Use Disorders and other addictive issues. As an Addictions Specialist, she has a thorough knowledge of the complex nature of SUDs, and addictive issues, and the impact they have on the individual, the family, and those around them. She is fully equipped to help guide those who are seeking help through the process of recovery.
Her additional areas of expertise include, trauma and stress related disorders, such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Acute Stress Disorder (ASD), anxiety disorders, depression, grief and loss, and relationship difficulties. She also has extensive experience in the area of career and vocational discovery, athletic performance counseling, life transition issues, including divorce, remarriage, co-parenting issues, disability and/or chronic illness.
In addition to counseling, Theresa teaches psychology at Penn State University, the Fayette campus and Westmoreland County Community College, where she has been an adjunct faculty member for nine years.
Theresa accepts clients of all ages and provides individual, couples, and family counseling.
