Cynthia Seery, LPC

Hello, my name is Cynthia Seery, and I am a licensed professional counselor. I have clinical
experience working in adult partial hospitalization, where I facilitated individual and group
therapy sessions. For my post-graduate experience I worked as an adult outpatient therapist in
clinical community mental health. During this time I had the privilege to work with many
individuals from varying backgrounds. I have experience with a number of differing presenting
concerns, including: anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia
spectrum disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, history of trauma or traumatic events,
adjustment disorders, relationship concerns, career or other life changes, processing grief and
loss, and navigation of other life challenges.

For my therapeutic style, I gravitate towards person-centered therapy and cognitive behavioral
therapy. However, I utilize therapy interventions based on the individual’s needs and presenting
concerns. I consider therapy as a collaboration, of both therapist and client working as a team,
to find solutions or skills to utilize for managing presenting concerns.
I believe that the characteristics of: empathy, genuineness, warmth, and acceptance, are some
of the most important in a therapeutic relationship between therapist and client. My goal is to
create an atmosphere that encompasses these characteristics in our sessions.
I work with adult individuals, ages 18 and older, coming to therapy for a variety of presenting
concerns. I would love to work with you, if you feel that I would be a good fit for helping you
reach your therapeutic goals!
