The most important part of the process is the relationship and personal growth of each person, which I purpose to focus on with caring, compassion, and authenticity. I believe in a lifestyle approach to healing that incorporates mind, body, and spirit. My academic degrees are in child development and social work, and my experience and passion are in mental health outpatient therapy and behavioral modification in various settings. I love psychiatric social work and helping people realize that they can have victory!
After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with my MSW, I began working for a social service agency and eventually ended up at WPIC/UPMC providing and managing our outpatient, school-based, and pediatric office-based therapy in collaboration with various pediatric offices. Our family moved to NY where we lived for 18 years. My husband and I have 7 children, all of whom have been home-schooled (and still are), along with my two oldest who have earned academic scholarships to college.
As a family with 5 active boys and 2 girls, we love to practice healthy living and study fitness and nutrition. All 9 of us have participated in different races, coached and played basketball, soccer, and many more sports. Additionally, I am a certified group fitness instructor and Schwinn/Reebok cycling instructor, where I enjoy also serving as a "life coach" for people.
I love to volunteer and serve in various evangelistic events and ministries. I have been involved in VBS, inner-city VBS, and after-school programs for "at-risk" children. I have also served as a teacher for different grades and academic subjects at various home-school coop groups of which our family has been a part.
When I am not busy with my family, homeschooling, or working, my favorite way to relax is by spending time at the beach or ocean with my family and my Bible.
